SHOPPERS SIMPLY PHARMACY #3087

As a regular client who comes here for prescription drugs and vaccination, I made an online appointment for the spring COVID vaccination for today (April 24 @11:30am). I showed up on time and was told to wait while an older couple was being attended. About 20 minutes later, the Pharmacist walked over and asked what I wanted so I told her I had an COVID appointment. Interestingly she said there's no such appointment and rudely said "we have the vaccine, do you want it or not". I said, "Yes, since I'm here already", while wondering where I made the original appointment. While she was checking my care card and info online, I asked her about the 2 special flu shots my family doctor suggested I take. Since I have to pay for these two shots, he told me to talk to the pharmacist whom he'd send the prescription to. I talked to the pharmacist at Shoppers Simply (this is the pharmacy on my medical file who received the prescription). Sadly, the pharmacist Francis who is on duty today refused to answer any of my flu questions by telling me "we don't stock any flu vaccines here" and "I have never talked to you" but keep asking me if I want the COVID shot or not. I was very puzzled because I obviously talked to someone about those 2 flu shots so I asked her to check my file but she seemed unwilling and repeated the same "we don't stock flu vaccines here" and "I am the only pharmacist here and I did not talk to you!" excuses. So I decided to let it go and stared to roll up my sleeve for the COVID shot. Unfortunately I made a mistake of asking her about this current COVID shot I'm about to receive and got confused when she said, "It's last year's COVID vaccination. In order to verify that it's the correct vaccination, I tried to show her the online notification on my cellphone. She refused to look into it and told me it's a notification, not a booking. My response was "so it is the same vaccination that I have to take again." Somehow this annoyed her and once again she said rudely, " Do you want the shot or not?" She now has created a very unpleasant atmosphere so I said, "I'm sorry but are you in a hurry? I just want to get some clarification about the shots but you seemed so unwilling." I told her I've talked to other staff including a couple gentlemen who were much friendlier and helpful, to which she snapped, "we don't have any male staff here!" It sounded like she's implying that I was lying. Her body language and facial expression suggested that she did not care about me as a person, all she cared was that I take the Covid shot so she could bill for it. Well, sorry to say that I was so depressed and frustrated and was obviously not in the condition to receive the Covid vaccination so I left. I came home and called the Government Covid hotline, checked with the operator and confirmed that indeed, I had an appointment with Shoppers Simply Pharmacy for the Spring Covid vaccination!!
