My Safeway pharmacy has had no power all morning and I needed my birth control pill for today as I am awaiting a hysterectomy while on bcp back to back as well as an IUD otherwise I hemorrhage so much so I’ve ended up in hospital. I explained my situation to your pharmacist Sandip and she told me there’s no way a pharmacist wasn’t at my Safeway even with power out so I did what she said and went up there was zero staff in the whole store all lights off phones not working I came to your pharmacy as I had spoken to her and she huffed and puffed like I was putting her out I said I’m willing to pay even though government funded I could even take just one pill from them til my pharmacy reopens and she asked me Three times why I needed it I explained my situation three times and she still didn’t seem to understand (I’m bleeding now already) She acted like I was a huge nuisance even though no one waiting for prescriptions and at first said she couldn’t help me and I started to get emotional this is my health in jeopardy She was extremely rude and I have had no issues at my Safeway pharmacy Told me to come back in half an hour and she would SEE if she could help I have never had such horrible and rude customer service especially given my health issues (I’m only 40) and I will never recommend this pharmacy to anyone given the service and absolute rudeness I worked in this industry as a moa for over ten years and spoke multiple times a day to pharmacists and never have I experienced this poor attitude with no empathy or anything. I could understand if it was a prescription medication (which I will wait till my pharmacist reopens) it’s a government funded bcp that I take to prevent me hemorrhaging
